Students in the Residential and Commercial Construction pathway at Citrus High School prepare for exciting careers in construction and building design, performance, and sustainability. With a focus on learning the process of building and designing residential and commercial structures, students will garner important skills used in the construction trades including industry-specific mathematical calculations, how to interpret information from technical drawings and demonstrate a wide-variety of carpentry and plumbing techniques. Upon successful completion of this pathway, students will be prepared to enter the workforce with a level of expertise that is in high demand for a variety of positions in the building and construction industry.

Citrus High School is a continuation school in Fontana Unified School District that offers a variety of programs and accommodations designed to meet the needs of all students. Following a “credit recovery” model, students have the opportunity to earn credits at an accelerated rate compared to a traditional high school – completing up to a year and a half of high school in one single year. In addition to CTE pathway offerings, Citrus High School offers a wide-variety of interesting electives, work study and an excellent career program to prepare students for the world of work.
